Trussville Business Owner Honored by American Advertising Federation, Birmingham Chapter

Trussville resident Wanda McKoy, owner of Express Print & Promotional Products since 2004, has been honored by the American Advertising Federation-Birmingham with a lifetime membership. This honor has been bestowed only 3 times since the organization’s charter was created in 1943.

McKoy served AAF-Birmingham for 44 years and remains an active member. She has served on committees and in several leadership positions, including that of President.

In 1996, McKoy was awarded the American Advertising Federation’s Silver Medal for Outstanding Professional Work, Support of the Advertising Industry, and Service to the Community and Local, State, District, and National AAF Organizations .

She has represented Birmingham in leadership positions within the Seventh District of the American Advertising Federation, including governor of that five-state organization.

McKoy has also served on national committees, served as president of the AAF East Region, and also served as an ADDY District representative. She is also one of the founders of the Alabama Advertising Education Foundation.

McKoy has received several accolades for her involvement with other nonprofit organizations such as the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the local crisis center.

She also served on the Alabama State School Board’s Career Technology Advisory Committee for over 20 years. She currently serves on the local chapter of the Eastern Women’s Committee of Fifty and on the Board of Directors serving Positive Maturity.
