Tom Brady has a message for his critics in the media world

Despite previous claims that he pays little attention to media coverage, it seems Tom Brady sees and hears it all.

The Buccaneers recently posted a video, highlighted above by Don Kleiman via Twitter, which shows Brady’s reaction to a series of negative media comments aimed at his management.

“I just watch TV and go like this” — “double bird” — “Fuck you guys, fuck you TV.”, before letting out a smile.

For a player who has always taken the high road when dealing with the media for the better part of twenty years – as many would say, it was the result of playing for (and being coached by) Bill Belichick in New England – Brady shows another side here.

While this brief video shows Brady expressing some frustration on the media as a whole, it’s pretty obvious he’s doing it in jest.

Either way, the fact that he is so willing to engage in this kind of banter is a testament to the freedom of speech and willingness to express his personality for entertainment, which has not only been embraced , but almost encouraged by his “employer”, since he joined the Buccaneers two years ago.

“Tompa Bay” Brady represents a full 180 of the moderate, reserved and more conservative Tom Brady we’ve seen in New England for so many years, at least off the field.
