A group of advertising companies will showcase the achievements of Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, on their major light-emitting diode (LED) media platforms to applaud his efforts.
Gbenga Omotoso, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, said so in a statement released on Monday.
The companies include Elevate Media, New Crystal, Plural Media, Invent Media, Nimbus Media and Just Brandit.
As part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR), the statement added that the agencies will showcase all completed works of Sanwo-Olu, especially in housing and roads.
“This strategic support comes in the form of amplifying Governor Sanwo-Olu’s leaps and bounds via the state-of-the-art LED signs owned by these major OOH companies in designated locations across the state. The outdoor agencies involved are doing this probono as a corporate social responsibility,” the statement read.
“The purpose of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by players in the Nigerian OOH sub-sector of the Marketing Communications industry is to showcase Sanwo-Olu’s quality leadership style by providing strategic direction for the growth of the state, which aspires to be a smart city.
“Apart from creating an enabling business environment and technical support that encourages the private sector to play the role envisioned, Sanwo-Olu has spared no effort to help businesses direct their energies and contribute to improving of the quality of life of the inhabitants of Lagos.
“His administration’s strategic infrastructure development is designed to provide support in a coordinated and integrated manner to encourage new investment, create jobs and improve social services.
“Housing projects have been opened in Badagry, Ibeshe, Igbogbo, Igando, Sangotedo, Surulere and others.
The statement further adds that the outdoor advertising company will broadcast video clips of the projects in the metropolis.
Omotoso appreciated the band’s initiative, saying it’s an indication that they have the state at heart.
“We appreciate this laudable gesture, and Mr. Governor is particularly pleased that these companies are creating the right awareness for our programs and activities,” Omotoso said.
