How Outbrand, a modern marketing company, expanded its customer base during a pandemic

BOISE, ID / ACCESSWIRE / May 5, 2021 / The COVID-19 pandemic has introduced a tremendous amount of hardship for people and businesses. As stores closed and lockdown notices were issued, many small businesses couldn’t survive and those that did had to resort to remote working methods to stay afloat. COVID-19 has created a new wave of how businesses are run.

It was a pivotal time for most businesses, and no one knows it better than Mario Sarceno, founder of Outbrand, a full-service marketing agency that helps businesses grow their businesses.

As we all know for the start of 2020, the pandemic struck just as Outbrand was beginning. Sarceno and his team took the time to ensure that the company’s operations and strategies were immediately geared around the digital space to meet the new demand. Creating solutions to these new problems has led Outbrand to triple its monthly revenue in just a few months.

Outbrand shared three principles that have helped them evolve in predictable ways in unpredictable times:

  1. Go Where Your Audience Is: There are a myriad of digital channels available for business today, but that doesn’t mean we should focus on all channels. “I’ve spoken to companies that have tried to target blue collar workers on LinkedIn. This is time that could be better spent calling plumbers. First, focus your efforts on where your audience is ”.

  2. Differentiate yourself: there is no such thing as an unsaturated industry. Every industry is saturated, but what makes a difference in how you step in the door is how you differentiate yourself. “What I suggest people do is think about your past clients. Why did they decide to work with you instead of the neighboring company? Find out what resonated with them and amplify that. If it resonates with them, there’s a good chance it will. I will resonate with more people like them “.

  3. Be creative: consider common sales, marketing, and presentation practices, and tweak one little thing at a time to see if it works better. The pandemic has profoundly changed every business, and those who have found a better way to operate are the ones who have increased this year. “If it ain’t broke, fix it even better.”

Outbrand is a full service marketing company. Where many companies claim, Outbrand goes above and beyond to ensure that “full service” is an honest assessment of their business. They provide PR strategies on a multitude of different media options, from digital marketing to traditional and social media spaces.

“Keep moving” is the mantra they adopted during these first months of activity. “If that doesn’t work, keep moving in another direction. As long as you move, you can expect to make progress.” With this philosophy, Outbrand didn’t just stay afloat, but thrived despite the odds.

Outbrand is a new venture, sure, but the long-term goals they’ve set for themselves are in line with their ambition and movement-driven mindset. They aim to achieve seven-figure growth by the end of 2021 and further expand the team so they can help more clients navigate the waters of modern marketing. Above all else, they just want to continue to thrive against the difficult tide of the pandemic, fight the waters, and maintain the upward trajectory Outbrand has seen so far.

Meet the founder:

Mario Sarceno was born in Los Angeles to parents who immigrated from Central America. He grew up in Texas, where in college he was bullied. It showed him what it was like to be an underdog and reinforced in him a dedication to people who feel less than they are. This is largely what prompted him to go on a mission trip to Chile, where he spoke to people every day and did his best to help them in spiritual ways. Mormonism has been an integral part of Sarceno’s life, and having this opportunity to connect with people through his faith has been a great experience for him. He was sort of a life coach, helping people realize what they could accomplish in their lives and how they could best live their fulfillment. When Sarceno returned to America, he attended Brigham Young University in Rexburg, Idaho, where he studied advertising and communications. Here he met a girl and he moved to Torrance, California so that he could live closer to her. Soon he got acquainted with digital marketing and got interested in digital marketing while making money in the gig work industry. He bumped into his mentor Michael in January 2020, who helped him discover both his monetary and entrepreneurial potential, even as he was in an outsider position, working job-to-job in an expensive state like California. Sarceno had always been in favor of the underdog, however, since his time in Texas he found that with this coaching he was able to take root and explore this entrepreneurial option in digital marketing and communications. It was then that he decided to switch to Outbrand.

Since opening, Outbrand has consistently helped businesses and business owners thrive and grow through their many media options and strategies.
